TRIP HIGHLIGHTS
Get a taste of soccer training- Ghana style!
Play matches with village and local teams.
Attend a premier league game at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Visit famous sites in Greater Accra, including the National Culture Center.
Complete a community service project to improve soccer facilities in the local village.
Visit natural and historic sites such as Kakum National Park and the Cape Coast or Elmina Slave Castles.
Shop in the bustling Makola and Kaneshie markets.
Learn to play local games with the village children and visit an orphanage.
Attend cultural drum and dance performances and a traditional ceremony.
Learn traditional crafts, the local Ga language and a little local history.
REGISTRATION FORM
GHANA SOCCER ADVENTURE is a soccer-focused
trip. Ghana is a nation of soccer fans. Almost everyone there plays or
watches the game. Two years ago the Ghana team won the U-20 men’s
World Cup and was the only African team to make it to the quarter final in 2010 World Cup in South Africa! Highlights of this trip include soccer, soccer and more
soccer in addition to seeing some of the famous sights and experiencing
the rich culture. Practice and play with the local teams, watch
matches, and visit stadiums that were host to the Africa Cup of Nations
Soccer Tournament in 2008. We will also participate in community
service on the local soccer field!
